Professional Experience Highlights

Big Horn County School District, Basin, Wyoming, July 2014 to January 2016 Superintendent (310 students, 3 schools, 90 employees, Student Transportation, 45% Economically Disadvantaged, 7.1-million-dollar budget)

  • Standardized procedures for working with board of trustees to enhance cooperation and strategic planning.
  • Lead full-scope operations, instruction, safety, security, and efficient use of human talent.
  • Worked with administrative team to gather, analyze, and leverage data to execute decision-making activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity to improve the instructional programs, and learning opportunities for all students.
  • Modeled professional, moral, and ethical standards as well as personal integrity in all interactions.
  • Led district in the adoption of the Professional Learning Communities (PLC).

Washington County School District, St. George, UT 1989S2014 Principal – Hurricane Middle School

  • Identified and created best practices for teaching/instruction, evaluated and supervised teachers, and led the staff development activities for 40 staff members.
  • Successful in efforts to retain 95% of faculty during tenure.
  • Implements Professional Learning Communities for encouraging staff collaboration and data driven instruction.
  • Implemented daily intervention for students who were struggling or for enrichment programs.
